Where does the WT pull up this crap? They were so sure of those that saw 1914 would not pass away. Now this? If in 20 or 30 years and his has come to fullfillment, are they going to add a 3rd group?

Purging and letting go of the past
by Skinnedsheep inmy wife and i decided that today would be the day that we would let go of the past.
we collected all of our watchtower published books and brochures and threw them out.
it was honestly bitter sweet to toss our old pioneer books, marked up insight books, and notes from 25 years of conventions.

It is hard to just walk away from 4 decades of your life. Like a death, it is time to move on.

Omfg They Made a graph. Idiots. My brother teased me once on this generation teaching Telling me I was not spiritual enough to understand it Ehhhh God I hate this jw bullshit.
Reminds me of the illustration of the train heading over the cliff that said 1975.

So the WT just extended their time line by a few more years. What happened to "this generation will by no means pass away" BS? Like the saying goes fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I can't believe dubs that lived through the 1975 and 1990's fiasco still believe the lies.

Just watched a documentary on the Mormon church and I reckon they have got far more scandal and issues with BS doctrins than the witnesses ever did
by joe134cd inmust admit i didn't know a lot about the mormon church, so i decided to spend my saturday night exploring them on you tube.
after having viewed it i reckon the watchtower dosnt even come close to the scandal and total bs that surrounds the mormon church.
this is just 2 examples.

JW Info-Commercial Memorial Service
by William Penwell ini attended a jw memorial service about 2 years ago and the speaker i thought gave a good eulogy to the diseased even though he quoted a few scriptures.
just recently i attended another jw memorial and the sermon was about 10 minutes on the person and the rest a big info-commercial with a scripture quoted one after the other.
i did not keep count but i would think the speaker read about 10 - 12 scriptures.

I have to say when spew off one scripture after the other it is only for the benifit of the other brain dead dubs in attendance as like I stated about it just puts off everyone else in attendance that is not a dub.

Awful WTBTS " infomercial " funeral service talk
by RULES & REGULATIONS inw77 6/1 pp.
346-347 mourning and funeralsfor whom?
a funeral or memorial service?

The elder who gave the talk quickly squashed those efforts and clumsily said that the "service was over" and dismissed everyone. I WAS MORTIFIED!!!!!!!!!!
This is just another example of their self-righteous arrogance. It was not in one of their Kingdum Halls, then what is the harm. Not like they were doing devil worshipping or anything like that.
Away from the strictures of the kingdom hall, he had an absolutely lovely farewell, with even his JW siblings - my mother included - speaking spontaneously about him.
The best JW memorial I attended was one at a funeral home. They actually had a slide presentation to honor the diseased.

As I stated in the post I started, if their goal was to attract new recruits, all it did was turn off the outsiders. People are not stupid and see it for what it is a cheap info commercial to get new members.

Doctors and surgeons say no to blood transfusions
by Mr Negative inmy mum recently told me that even surgeons won't have blood transfusions, but the common people don't get told this.
i have also seen or heard others say that a bunch of doctors/health officials/surgeons were asked, at some point, if they would accept a blood transfusion and they all said no.
is this true?

What the WT would never take anything out of context? Ha ha they are the masters of taking things out of context.

I did the memorial talk years ago and made sure I read as little scriptures as possible...many came up and said they prefered that...in my public talks I would read 3 or 4 scriptures...no more...yet some rattle off 20+ in memorial talks or public talks...
The talk this same elder gave 2 years ago was much like this, very few scriptures and always reflecting back on the diseased. The one the other night like I said was one scripture after the other with no real flow and confusing. I wonder if some other elder said something to him, "well brother so and so you know you have to stick to the outline as provided for you by the GB". Of all times that you would think they would be somewhat compassionate at a memorial service but no it all was goes back to their sales pitch. Like I mentioned I spoke with a few outsiders and they were not impressed and seen it for it was a cheap info commercial.
Now it is not just the JW's. I was at some Catholic service a few months ago and it was very confusing and the priest spoke very little about the diseased.
